Sometimes an out of state college, be it private or public, can be more affordable than a local institution. Besides cost, the top reason a student chooses a university or college is because of "it's feel." At our school advisory is a group of randomly selected students from the whole school who meet twice a week. Advisory is a place to build community and support each other academically. In order to give our advisory students a chance "to feel" what an out of state university has to offer, we are going to visit Chicago, Illinois to tour The University of Chicago (a private institution) and University of Illinois, Chicago (a public institution). After our campus tours we plan to use public transportation to explore the city of Chicago, visiting museums and local landmarks.
