Help us send our 10th graders on a college road trip!

We are excited to announce that we are planning a College Road Trip for all 10th graders this spring! At High Tech High North County, our expectation is that all students will apply to a four year college in the fall of their senior year. Through our advisory program, students complete activities in Naviance as a way to reflect on their future career interests and college plans. In the past year we have been focusing more on supporting our students in finding a college that is a strong academic, environmental, and financial fit so that they have a better chance of being successful.

One important step in finding a college that is a good fit is to visit many campuses. Students need to identify characteristics that they view as important when searching for a college. This includes considering the size of a campus, the location, academic programs and majors, learning style, diversity and financial aid. Students also need to also be familiar with the admission requirements so that they are setting and then meeting academic goals at HTHNC.

As part of this college trip for 10th graders, we plan to visit public and private universities in California. This will be an overnight trip from May 7th to May 9th. We will visit four or more colleges, and this will include at least one CSU campus, one UC campus, and a private college. When possible, we will also meet with HTHNC alumni to hear about their experiences on campus.

All donations, large or small, will go a long way to helping us meet our goal for HIGH TECH HIGH NORTH COUNTY.
