Message from the Director:
At HTMMA, we are deeply proud of the project work in which our students are engaged. However, due to some budget limitations that are out of our control, we continue to have a significant need for updated technology to support our project work. Last year, we raised over $9000, which helped us to purchase 30 new Chromebooks, which greatly improved our students’ access to classroom technology.
This year, our goal is to raise $10,000, which will help us purchase two carts of Chromebooks. Teachers will be able to check out these carts in order to have enough Chromebooks so that every student can have a device. This is particularly important when students are writing and editing their work, doing individual research on project topics, or engaging in personalized tasks like math and literacy practice.
We hope that you will consider giving to HTMMA to support this cause on “Giving Tuesday,” Tuesday, December 3, 2019.
What is #GivingTuesday?
Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy.
